
Brett Martin is the Conservation Section Program Chief at USDA/Farm Service Agency (FSA) State Office in Athens, GA. He oversees the administration of FSA conservation and other farm programs at the state level for Georgia. The Conservation Section is responsible for administering the USDA/FSA’s Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) bioenergy program. BCAP was authorized by the 2008 Farm Bill to encourage biofuels development and use. The program assists farmers, ranchers, landowners and eligible material owners by providing matching payments for deliveries of eligible material to qualified facilities and payments to establish biomass crops.
Martin holds a BS degree in Agribusiness from Berry College and a MBA from Brenau University.
